How to preview your emails before sending them

Making your email marketing stand out requires a personalized approach. 

When your recipients get an email message with personalized content, they are more likely to engage with it because it feels like it is personally addressed to them. 

Email campaigns with targeted content also help improve open, click-through, and reply rates, so it makes sense to add personalization variables to them to boost their performance.

Here’s a quick guide on how to preview your email when sending your drip campaign:

Compose your email 

Open the Email Drip Campaign editor, add the Email element to the sequence, and start composing your message.

When you want to add a personalization variable to it, click the Add personalization variable button in the email editor tools menu to open a drop-down list of variables. Choose the variable you need.

Replace the word “FALLBACK” with a word or phrase you want to appear in your email, or delete it if you don’t want to use it. When ready, click the Next button.

Note: A fallback is the custom text displayed instead of your variable if the prospect profile is missing the information required for personalization.  

Add a list of recipients

On the Prospects tab (1), choose a list of recipients (2) to add to this campaign.

If you don’t have a prospect list in your Snov.io account yet, collect your leads’ email addresses with our prospecting tools or import your own list.

Preview your email

Click the Preview emails button at the bottom of the campaign editor page.

On the left side of the email preview page, find the list of recipients and click on any prospect to see what your email will look like for them. 

An email preview will display your recipient’s view of the email body, including personalized content.
